  • Very unethical. Claim in online advertising, "No hidden dealer add-ons." Not true, they charge you for the Zaktek and it is not an option to decline it. The also tried to get us to sign a form saying that if we paid off the loan in the first 180 days, there would be a penalty. Not even sure if prepayment penalties are even legal these days. Craziest of all is that they offered 3.49% financing if we bought their $2000 warranty. If we didn't buy the warranty, the interest rate was going to be 7.99% even though they said 7.5% was a worst case scenario and we'd get the rate in finance. After much back and forth and three different finance people getting involved, we were told 7.99% was it if we didn't take the warranty. BTW..the first thing finance lays in front of you is a form stating that Arizona does not have a "cooling off period." What kind of deals are they sticking people with if that is the first statement of the finance person. They also up the price of the car $1000 if you bring your financing. The salesman tried to get me to write a check to him before we even went to the finance department. He said that he had to have the check before I could even see the finance person. I did not write the check...and eventually we got to finance. Bottom line, in the 7 hours we spent at this dealership they tried every tactic that gives car salespeople a bad reputation. We walked away. Next morning got a congratulatory email thanking us for buying the car....really! WE WALKED AWAY! The next day they called back trying to resurrect the deal. They said, "someone else wants to buy the car...so are you still interested?" Still was going to be all on their poor terms. After two more calls trying to rehook us, Sam, the salesman was so clueless to how bad this deal was botched, that he offered his services in the future as though we'd had some great experience. Good news was we went to another dealer, got same year, make, and model car in better shape, and with fewer miles. We took a test drive at 10am and drove off the lot, "DEAL DONE" at 12:15. That's how it should be done!
