| - I will never use Sir Carpet again! I also purchased the deal from Living Social (2 rooms for $60). I had a scheduled time (a few weeks out mind you) and when the day finally rolled around, Sir Carpet didn't show up!!! I called and left a message and was contacted shortly thereafter by the tech. He told me he was out on an emergency and was apologetic somewhat for not even BOTHERING TO CALL ME to say he wasn't coming or needed to sched a different time. I had plans with my daughters that day that we had to put on hold for carpet cleaning then to not have them show at all on time was very irritating! He did come out later that night to do the carpets. He walks through (also using the citrus spray which I didn't mind) telling me that all these stains I have used store-bought cleaner on probably wouldn't come out. Then he tells me that because he was late, he would use the stain remover and not charge me. Fine, a good service at $10/per stain, I had 2 extra. He went through the house making comments all the time about how dirty it was (really not too bad considering we are clean people and the carpet is new) and WTH was he there for anyway???? TO CLEAN THE CARPETS!!! But then the next day, I see an ENORMOUS stain in my berber carpet that WAS NOT there before! It is HUGE, YELLOW and BROWN and UGLY! I called right away and when the same tech called me back, he started telling me that stain was there and that it was my fault it was there! NOOOOOOOO it was NOT already there, this stain is a foot by 2 feet! In the spot he used his machine on the longest! I certainly didn't destroy my carpet by using Resolve in small spots! This stain was put there by his machine! I don't need another lecture from this guy, just for them to fix it! Not to be blamed for something he clearly is responsible for! Ugh! Nope, he said I was "nasty" and so I said either fix what you did, or I take my business elsewhere! Guess I will be calling another company now! But I learned a big lesson of who not to call ever again, deal or no deal! The tech told me how Living Social takes half of their money anyway and it was like him doing ALL THIS WORK (oy vey) for pennies! Then, buddy, don't sell deals and take out the fact that they take your money on your customers and give them crap service! I just hope the stain he left can be lifted by a better carpet company!
