| - Narcisi Winery in Gibsonia, PA is a hidden gem. I have lived within ten minutes from the winery and after hearing experiences from my friends, my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try. I am embarrassed that it took me this long to go there!
The atmosphere is beautiful. It was a Friday night and they had a band playing, so there was a 45 minute wait to sit outside. However, it was no problem at all because the staff encouraged us to participate in a complimentary wine tasting (there are so many options, it was hard to narrow it down to which bottle we wanted to get with our dinner!). After selecting the wine we wanted to drink, Narcisi has an adorable gift shop with fun and unique wine related items that would make great gifts, and of course for yourself!
We spent a good 20 minutes checking out the store, and while waiting, we had the option to purchase our bottle before sitting down and drinking it outside in the many seating options they have that are not dinner tables, while listening to the band.
When our table was ready, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who took us to our table and gave us some basic information about the winery. Our waitress, Alaina (sp?) was one of the best waitresses I have ever had. She was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgable about the history of the winery and the menu.
My boyfriend and I split a flatbread for our appetizer, both had pasta dishes (I highly recommend the shrimp and lobster dish), and finished off with the tiramisu.
Overall, my experience at Narcisi Winery could not have been better. The atmosphere, staff, wine, and food is all worth five stars. My boyfriend and I were both so ecstatic about our experience that we have already made plans to take friends there this coming weekend for dinner, drinks, and another live band!
