| - If you're reading this review, you don't have to look any further for an alarm company. Smart Security Systems, in my opinion, is the best choice. It's refreshing to find a company who truly believes, enjoys, and stands behind what they do and are professional about it.
Within one day of moving into my home, I was approached by no less than three alarm company dealers pitching their monitored alarm systems. The timing was right to buy a system, but the company I selected was wrong.
Like many of us who have alarm systems, I am "trapped" into a three-year contract I couldn't break without paying the remaining contract balance. Service is horrible, the wi-fi cameras stopped working, and no one would take or return my calls. They even reneged on a $300.00 credit they offered. Every day I felt I was on borrowed time hoping someone would see the yard sign and cameras and think twice before coming on to my property, not knowing the cameras were now just for show.
Fast forward to Smart Security Systems and the owner, Steve. Fed up with my current alarm system, I decided the risk outweighed the cost. I started researching security companies and compared many of them when I came across Smart Security Systems.
What initially caught my eye and intrigued me most were the pictures showing installed cameras mounted at various homes and businesses. The Smart Security System is the hardwired, reliable DVR recordable system I wanted! The work was so "clean" looking and professionally installed, especially when compared to what I had. As I continued reading all the positive reviews about Steve and his company, I was further reassured.
I sent a request for information that evening and received a reply from Steve a few hours later. Steve and I spoke on the phone the next morning. Unlike the other alarm companies, Steve asked me what my needs were and what I expected to get out of an alarm system. He was genuinely interested in building a relationship and providing me with a service, and not just selling me an alarm system.
Steve met me at my house a few days later, and we talked about the type of system I wanted. He completed a survey around the home ? both inside and out ? and explained the kind of system he would recommend, to include motion-activated cameras with high resolution, digital zoom, and night vision capabilities.
Later that evening I received a detailed and exceptionally fair proposal with several options. After a brief conversation the following morning, I settled on one of the options with an installation date a few days later.
Steve arrived on the date and time promised. Within minutes Steve and his assistant, Tyler, were running spools of wire through the attic, and mounting cameras where we agreed. The installation took about six hours, which included instructions on how to operate and monitor the system. Steve was very thorough training me on how the system worked and spent a great deal of time with me positioning the camera angles to ensure I was satisfied. He even followed up later that evening when I sent him a message with a question.
Steve and Tyler were methodical in their work and cleaned up all boxes, instructions, plastic wrappers, wire clippings, conduit pieces, etc. I would highly recommend Smart Security Systems; they're a great company with a great product, and provide excellent service.
