I have written a past review on Henderson Hyundai's floor sales.
This is pertaining to their auto servicing department.
I have a serious concern with my new 2016 vehicle - it has push button engine start/stop. I took 2 buddies for a drive in it, and they were curious if the engine button would turn off the engine when driving. I, already owning a different Hyundai with the same button (and my family owning other Hyundais with engine button start/stop) knew that it would beep at not allow me to turn it off.
Well, my engine TURNED OFF while driving @ 40mph. Friends freaked out and told me I didn't know what I was doing.... Ok so I try it again around 20mph... again engine TURNS OFF while driving. Can not start engine again because it requires the car to be stopped with foot on brake...
I tell this to one of Hyundai's service "managers" or whatever they name them, and he tells me multiple times that "the engine start/stop button functions just like a normal key ignition; if you push it while driving, your car will shut off". I had to tell him multiple times that it DOES NOT work anything like a normal key ignition.... it SHOULD beep and NOT turn off (which it is currently doing because I have tried it a dozen more times).
He said most likely nothing would be done about it because it's already working fine. Ok... but I would like to have it working for sure. Doesn't seem to be really be a concern at all. Like it's not important if I or someone bumps the button and I lose control of my vehicle........
