I checked in here for the first time today due to what seemed like a sinus infection. The front staff handed me a tablet to fill in my info but also snap a pic of my ID and insurance card. Front and back. Which at first made me annoyed. When you're feeling like crap and don't want to move, I was thinking to myself "than what are the front staff here for if I'm doing all the work?".
Since I got here early seemed there was only 2 patients ahead of me. Made me feel better about waiting with the horrible symptoms I had. Nurse in the back was so nice and friendly. Very soft spoken which, from personally working in the medical field my entire life, helps when you're not feeling well.
Placed in a clean room and waited for what seemed like for ever. I checked my watch and I had been in the clinic for an hour, counting from the moment I checked in. An hour and 10 minutes later I was so crabby I left the room to ask how much longer would I have to wait. The nice nurse apologized and informed me that the Physician had just started an eye procedure and would be another 15 minutes. I was annoyed again because of how I just wanted to be in my bed resting, but I realized that if the patient ahead of me came in for something related to the eye, than the Doctor wouldn't have known it would be a longer than normal visit. So I sat in the exam room waiting. About 15 minutes later, sure enough, Kerry came in. She was apologetic for the delay and got right to business with several questions and not missing anything. She was so great. I wish all my Doctor visits were that informative as well as taking their time. I didn't feel rushed at all. She gave me what I needed to feel better and I'm so glad I waited.
After seeing her, I got over the fact that I waited a bit longer to be seen. It was worth it. I'm a pretty patient person as well as give people the benefit of the doubt. I always try to see the brighter side of things with a smile.
