Since this is an "update" it means I've eaten here now many times. It's always been wonderful. Each time it's a bit different because of the season or whether it's for dinner, lunch and now brunch (the menu changes as well) but never ceases to be enjoyable. We had brunch this time. I always love sitting outside and enjoying the French "bistro" cuisine at Mon Ami Gabi. I think we were fortunate to find a shady table since it was over 100 degrees in Las Vegas the day we were visiting, and we were determined to sit at a table outside.
Keep in mind that nowhere else on earth can you sit at a classic French Bistro, savor delicious food, drink great wine and watch the Fountains at the Bellagio playing "Viva Las Vegas." Memorable! They may be famous for the Steak Frites, but I love the Country Style Pâté and the French Toast (which I had at brunch this visit) is fantastic, while my friend raved about the Corned Beef Hash and Poached Eggs with roasted red pepper (my stomach still ached from the nightmare of El Sombrero in Juneau so I passed!).
Our waitress was wonderfully nice, very attentive and even was good enough to take a picture of us at our table. Truly memorable! I might even stay at the Paris next time just to be closer. Also, because of all the hassles and disappointment at the Aria, we ended up stowing our bags with the bellman here at the Paris. They were EXTREMELY courteous and helpful and urged us to come back and stay at the Paris next time. That was a great end to our trip and was really cool. Since the Aria was so bad, I think we will try the Paris next time... review to follow!
