| - Place is freaking UNREAL.
For die-hard Asian food fans who have never been here, I challenge you to walk in and not die of a sensory overload or the overwhelming desire to buy everything. The prepared food counters are unlike anything I've seen in the States, serving up sushi platters, banh mi sandwiches, stir fried dishes, bbq items, dim sum and snacks of various sorts. Then you are greeted by the fragrant bakery, with an insane selection of sliced bread. Yeah, that's right, sliced bread: taro, pandan, raisin, coconut, and then some. You may also fancy yourself some fantastic Portugese egg tarts while you're there, or a beautiful cake for whatever occasion.
As for the rest of the supermarket, pretty standard fare. BUT DAYUM, those prepared food counters and that bakery though!
We had introduced two friends to the joy that is T&T back in April and after returning to the States, they had so much regret over not buying enough the first time around that they ventured back to Toronto again to purchase dozens of eggs tarts and plates and plates of salmon toro sushi. And they lived happily ever after.
