  • My internist recommended I see Dr. Leibowitz for treatment of a lipoma (fatty tumor) under my eyelid. At first I wasn't sure about the office. It wasn't clear that I could just make a surgical appointment rather than await insurance of. But once that was cleared up the appointment was timely. I wasn't sure about Sunrise Hospital but having now been a patient (outpatient) I can say I was treated wonderfully by everyone at Sunrise. They were attentive, caring and highly professional. The surgery itself was pretty quick. I'm a compliant patient so post surgery I iced my eye as instructed and rested according to Dr. Leibowitz's directions. The end result was that I had no black eye, minimal swelling and never felt the dissolving sutures the whole time they were in my eyelid. My eye was bloodshot and did tear for a couple of days (pink colored tears) but that's it. During my follow up Dr. Leibowitz was again thorough and very personable. I highly recommend him if you need the type procedure in which he specializes.
