  • I live in this neighborhood, and while the gas is not at all the cheapest, this area tends to inflate prices so I've frequented this gas station for convenience. That's going to change, though. I was there this afternoon buying a quart of oil, and the oil rang up at a few dollars more than the price that was next to it, which I pointed out and was polite about it. Now, I think there is a high likelihood it was mismarked, as the other varieties of that brand of oil were more expensive. So, I can see a few possible appropriate responses from the employee in this situation: 1) OK, that's how it was marked, we will give it to you for that price....would have made me really like this place. 2) I'm sorry, that was mismarked and I will have to sell it to you for the actual price of $4.99....okay, I can handle that. Instead, here's the response I got: "You better put on your glasses, that's not how much it costs". I went a block away to 4 Sons and got my oil minus attitude. Looks like that's where I'll be stopping for gas from now on.
