  • Having recently relocated from the North Valley to Fountain Hills, we had to find some new places to eat! We were introduced to Baby Kay's by good friends a few months ago and we just can't get enough!! Our journey began with the Boudin Balls - amazing sausage croquette style appetizers with HEATED apricot jam. WOW! The jam itself is something I had to get the recipe for! The cup of Seafood Gumbo was large enough for me to split with my hubby - and the flavors were amazing! Crawfish Etouffee was a great base for the fried shrimp dinner! Hubby ordered the Fried Chicken (Special on Thursdays) and the seasoning was hot and flavorful - crispy as always! I tried a friend's catfish & was pleasantly surprised - since I'm not a fish eater - it was pretty good! Dessert - well that HUGE Chocolate Bourbon Sundae was shared by all 4 of us! Before I finish I MUST mention the drinks! Try one of the house specials - they hit a home run with them every time! Bring s designated driver - because they pack a PUNCH! A special p.s. to our waiter most nights - Martine' (pronounced Marteeen) BEST SERVICE EVER!! Consistent quality, service and so far not one bad experience. Need I say the place is spotless, funky, jazzy in a New Orleans way - OK I just did! BonAppetite!! Our FAVORITE PLACE ! Worth the drive!
