| - When you're a single mom, in college, and working 2 jobs, finding "me" time is hard, I heard good things about Hana when I got a pedicure there last time, so I called (3:19pm) and the lady that answered said she was with another client and would be done in 20 minutes.
I got there at 3:45pm and she was still working on that client, no biggie I went to pick out my color. They let me soak while I was waiting which was greatly appreciated but it was to the point the water got cold and I had to ask for it to be reheated.
At this point I was starting to get worried and pressed for time because I had to get my son from daycare by 5:30 or else I get charged extra for going over his allotted time. I didn't get worked on until 4:30, needless to say it ran past 5:30pm and when I asked for flip flops because I had sneakers on I was told they ran out (how do you run out, it's one of your services?) and they asked if I was ok with walking out barefoot? Barefoot, are you kidding me, especially after a pedicure?! Hana who did give a great pedicure had a regular waiting on her so I got ignored as soon as she was done.
Needless to say I had put my socks on so I could walk out as I carried my sneakers, putting them on when I got to my sons school and ruined my pedicure! I went there again because it was close to his school, but it turned out to be a bigger inconvenience and instead of relaxing I was stressed out from rushing and was forced to ruin my pedicure. Me time = wasted $$ and a complete fail.
I work in the industry and usually don't tip less than $10, but could've stiff because it's bad karma so I hit the 15% button instead. But I can say they lost me as a client and I will be telling my industry friends not to go there!
