I popped in here the other day for a pre-vacation manicure and will not be returning.
When I booked the appointment I wanted to get gel nails but after asking the gentleman 3 times if they could be done without grinding my natural nail, and being ignored, a female attendant came over to let me know they would not do gel nails without grinding my natural nail. So, the only choice I had was shellac.
I reviewed the website online and it had the option to book with a particular attendant - Awesome! I chose a to book my appointment with a female after reading rave reviews about her - but when I showed up the female working was busy with another customer so my manicure was done by a man who did not speak English. It seemed like it was his first manicure - he used cold water to soak my nails and didn't take my nail polish off before pushing back my cuticles. I watched him put the tools he used on me back into a sterilization package and then back into the manicure cart to be used again - gross! I used hand sanitizer the moment I got out the door.
Finally, they advertise 20% off as a 'grand opening special' but when checking out I was charged full price ($32). I was advised the online prices already reflect the 20% off - this is obviously just a ploy to bring customers in. Also, the website shows that each service is worth points, which can be redeemed for future services - there was no mention of this at my appointment.
The atmosphere was kinda cute - shabby chic - but the air conditioning was very loud and the lighting was terrible - the manicurist could barely see my nails. The female attendant seemed very nice.
