  • Wow. Our fur family had a terrible event, the dogs getting into a scuffle. Our chihuahua had minor injuries but more so he was terrified and stoic and hardly slept that night (opposite of chihuahua behavior). The next morning I called his regular vet and they simply informed me they could not see him even though it had been an emergency they just had no openings and weren't willing to work with me at all. This was a well known vet in the Willo neighborhood. (Never going back) After calling a few places I was referred to AltaVista and after that everything got so much better. The person that took my phone call was so kind and understanding of the tough situation, the tech we saw, Tiara,was amazing and so so sweet and Dr. Ballard was the first vet my Chihuahua liked let alone wasn't totally terrified of being seeing. Thank you so much for making such a horrific situation so much better. He is already back to feeling better this afternoon. We are so grateful :)
