In my opinion, the best barbers are ones where, after several visits, they know exactly what you want. Sure, if you visit any barber consistently, you can eventually say "Give me the usual" and they'll know what you mean. But that doesn't necessarily mean that the result will always be the same.
With here, it's always the same - and that's why I like them.
I speak highly of this particular traditional barbershop because it offers a no-frills/no-fuss approach at fair prices. Current barbershop trends involve heavily embracing nostalgia and the "old school" way of doing things. Unfortunately, most also charge a premium for it - as if shaving a faux-part into your pompadour that's complimented with a "bro fade" somehow requires some special "skill" that few barbers possess. I used to be a total sucker for it myself - until I realized that I can easily get what I want at a place like this. And guess what? They won't charge you an arm and a leg for doing it!
I always request that Sarah cut my hair. In the past, barbers will mow through my thick hair within a matter of minutes and charge a ridiculous price for a measly five minutes worth of work. She actually takes her time to ensure that things are done properly. And yes, they still shave your neck - just like any respectable barber will do.
I see this as an excellent local barbershop that offers a classic, no-frills approach that is greatly appreciated.
Highly recommended!
