| - I've been to Vegas several times in the past few years, choice of hotel usually varies, I've stayed at Bally's, and a few others. I chose Circus Circus this time around and as with the previous times, it was a positive experience overall. The line moved somewhat quickly, once I got to the customer service rep. I noticed I forgot my license with the rental car paperwork, so they said "just go back and get it and you don't have to stand in line", which was a nice touch (was somewhat jet lagged so I wasn't all there upon arriving!).
Once I returned with the license they upgraded me from the manor motor lodge to Skyrise Tower, which they obviously made some major renovations to. The room itself is very nice, and seemed more modern than Bally's, Planet Hollywood, and other places I've stayed. A key thing which may tilt the needle toward this place over others is the Wi-Fi speed. I was able to easily stream Netflix/Amazon Prime, which is a perk that can't be overstated, as some hotel Wi-Fi is so slow it is functionally useless.
Parking is a breeze, particularly if you're at the motor lodge (where I've stayed previously at one point), and Skyrise. At other hotels it is a slog to get from your car to the room; not so with Circus Circus.
If you do not have a rental car, and want to experience the strip, it might not be the best choice, as its a bit of a walk south. There is an inexpensive bus that goes back and forth up the strip that is affordable, but if my intent was to enjoy the Strip I'd probably recommend something affordable further south, such as Bally's, Flamingo, Planet Hollywood, etc.
