  • I called Legacy yesterday for an estimate and was surprised that Greg said he could come out and give me an estimate on trimming my trees in an hour or so. He showed up and seemed very nice. Gave me an estimate and offered to come today Sunday to mow my lawn because I had a pest control company coming first thing Monday morning to spray the yard for pests and the grass needs to be cut in order for the pest control product to do it's job. I was going to mow the lawn myself yesterday but Greg insisted it was no problem for him to come today so I agreed. Today Greg called and asked me if the pest control company was still coming tomorrow because it was supposed to rain. I told him I hadn't heard from them. He said no problem he would come and mow the law and be here no later that 9am today. At 8:30 he called with car trouble and said that he would still come if his car was cooled down by 3 or 4. Because I need the grass cut before the pest control company comes out (even if they don't come tomorrow, they will come sometime this week and the weekend is the only time I have available to make sure it is done myself) I had to go ahead and cut the grass today which messed up my plans for today. If I had known that I could not count on Greg coming out to do my lawn today as he insisted he would yesterday, I could have done the yard myself yesterday and been able to follow through with my plans for today. I'm irritated that he did not come out today as he said he would but I'm also grateful that I did not hand over my credit card information to him ahead of time, before seeing the results of what I had actually called him to do, trim my trees. If he can't follow through on mowing my lawn, I highly doubt I would want to fork over my credit card information before he trims by trees. I guess I should have been a littler leery of him yesterday, when he said he would call me in the evening and let me know when he would be here this morning. He didn't call as promised about that either. If he had called yesterday and let me know he could not come. I could have at least got an early start on the lawn this morning when it was cooler and overcast rather than having to start it now with the full sun out. Seriously a landscaping company of this nature with a car? AND only 1?
