To say that my experience at Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic has been awful would be an understatement. Dr. Rowena D'Monte is completely clueless when it comes to properly diagnosing her patients and often orders tests that are pricey and unnecessary. She missed diagnosed one of our dogs with narcolepsy when he started showing signs of neurologic changes earlier this year. To say that a 10 year old dog has developed narcolepsy out of the blue made no sense. Dr. D'Monte also suggested running almost $500 in labs and scans that were completely unnecessary. After seeking a second opinion from an actual neurologist she quickly diagnosed him with epilepsy. No extra lab work or scans were necessary from her opinion. Today we took our other dog in for a rash and waited an hour and a half to speak with Dr. D'Monte. She was only with us for 5 minutes, did a scrapping to test for mites (which we knew he didn't have) and prescribed us an unnecessary antibiotic for what she thought was a food allergy. Our bill for this pointless visit was $215. I will never set foot in this place again and suggest you do the same.
