| - Tasty drinks, tasty apps, tasty dishes!
We had fries and added truffle aioli with the truffle popcorn for an app. The truffle didn't come through in the popcorn much, but it was kinda fun to dip it in the aioli from the fries. Either way it was tasty and fun and the garlic aioli that normally comes with the fries was tasty too.
I couldn't decide between the delicious looking burger and the chicken and hot pickles (waffles) for my entree but wound up with the latter. The waffle was good and the chicken was really good and REALLY big. I'm amazed at how big this thigh was. Either way it was nice to know that it was locally sourced (as it appears most of their food is). The breading was great, the chicken was moist, and there was plenty for the dish and then some. The dish also included pickles, salmon butter, and some kind of a fancy syrup as well (though the syrup just tasted like syrup to me).
Service was all very friendly and top notch. The space is a little crowded, but it is also REALLY neat. The big glass windows overlooking the capitol building provided for a great view - even at night.
Prices are a little expensive, but nothing too crazy and understandable for the location and food quality.
If I had one minor complaint it is that I had just taken a small bit of my second (also large) piece of chicken, but since it was more difficult to cut than the main piece I decided to save it for home. It didn't make it in with the other leftovers in the take-home bag. I get the misunderstanding, but it's just one of those silly things that always seems to happen when the restaurant wraps up the food for you.
In any case - if I need a place to eat in Madison Graze is at the top of the list!
