A really solid spot to bring out of town guests. The menu is almost too big, but lots of Wisconsiny things. The curds are really tasty...salty and just the right crispiness. Not my favorite curds in town, but still high on the list.
Beer offerings are are really good for craft beer lovers. Over 40 on tap. The space layout is a little odd. There are two bar and dining areas. Prices are probably a hair overpriced for what it is, but you're paying for food and drink on capitol square, and it won't break the bank. Service is good to average. It's rare I go here without out-of-town guests because there are more convenient, better spots for food in general, but it's great to show off Wisconsin tavern fare on the square, the food is solid, and there are lots of other good bars within walking distance to make a night of it. The beer and food menu is big enough that everyone will find something they like.
