  • I have been here a number of times in silent protest as my friends love it. First time few times I have gone there was during the summer and there was no air conditioning on. Last few times they had a swamp cooler which is not cool when you are trying to eat. and it did not make the crackers and cookies I purchased there at a premium very crunchy either. I since seen that some of the items they sell are on sale all the time either at Safeway's, Cost Plus and WholeFoods. They do seem to have slightly better air now and a bunch of wobbly old ceiling fans just ready to cool your meal down quick. I find this place extremely expensive for what it is and what you get. Considering you are likely to spend $10 at least on any main entree you get a surprisingly small amount of chips or is it just me??? I say that because I have recently discovered something quite shocking about the CF. As I have already state I go here under pressure as I do have friends who like this place, US and UK friends. For the couple of games England was playing in the Euro this year I went and had lunch at CF with my US friends. First off even though England was playing right then... no one working was wearing anything patriotic. 3 of us in our party was from the US, and one person for the UK. We all ordered at the same time and had the same thing. Large fish n chips. The UK guy's meal came out 10 minutes after everyone and was a noticeably smaller. This was not the first time I have experienced this? I questioned the other UK people back at my company to find that the British people in my office really do not like the CF as they feel they do not get treated the same way as the Americans! Really??? That is something I just don't get from English owned store. I thought it was just me but it isn't. Four people in my company are from England and we feel the same. My American friends that go love the staff and the food. Go figure.
