| - I have never been so disappointed with a hotel in my life. I booked a room 4 months in advance for a trip I had planned with some friends. When I was about an hour away from the hotel, I got a voicemail that my reservation had been cancelled and the room had been released. I immediately called back and spoke to a woman named Patricia, who had told me exactly what she stated in the voicemail she left me and there was nothing she or I could do. She then proceeded to tell me that the entire hotel was sold out and I could not book another room. I stated that I am a Hilton Honors member and asked why I did not receive a courtesy call back to fix the issue at hand. They said my card had "been declined" and immediately released the room without the chance to fix it. She continued to be incredibly rude and condescending to me and interrupted me every time I spoke.
After consulting with my friends about what to do, since we were traveling from out of town and no longer had a room, we decided to call corporate. While we were on the Hilton honors website, we also noticed that our reservation was still there...? Not only was our reservation still there, there were plenty of rooms still available. Still trying to figure out why she would lie to a loyal customer... Once on the phone with Barb from corporate, who was a MAJOR HELP, we were once again reconnected with Patricia from the hotel downtown. She acted like nothing had ever happened and told us our room would be ready upon arrival.
So thank you, Patricia, for ruining what was supposed to be a fun, non-stressful night with friends.
