| - Googled this place after driving by and seeing the name on the building. Intrigued, we made reservations for their "seat before 5:30" sunset special pricing .
Had 5 course with wine pairing. As advertised, this was just enough. Left full but not stuffed.
Service was pleasant. Not sure how truly improvised the meal is but the three of us never shared the same dish. First courses were avocado black rice salad, anchovies and beets, and roasted pepper soup. All good but the soup seemed a little safe for an improv restaurant. Second course was three kinds of fish. Third course was mussels, quail, and short ribs. All tasty. Fourth course was venison, pork belly, and pork loin. Pork loin was too salty. Dessert course was chocolate pot d creme, kumquat caramel flan, and strawberry shortcake with almond ice cream. Ended the evening with some small palette cleansing treats.
Wine pairings were adequate. Some better than others.
All in all, a fun and tasty meal. Would recommend but even at the 5pm pricing, be prepared it's fairly pricey.
