| - I saw Dr. Chuang about a month and a half ago because I felt some tightness in my throat for about 2 months, and it wasn't going away with nose spray or allergy medicine. When he walked in, he basically gave me a shpeal that sounded like his typical script of what he tells patients that come in with this complaint, which he gets "3 times a week". He gave me 5 different options of what it possibly could be, and then wrote me an order for a CT scan to "Quadruple check". He really gave me no validation that it wasn't anything serious, and seemed like he could care less and told me to "Be Safe" as I said thanks and walked out the door.
Fast forward a month later, when I decided to get the CT scan since the sensation hadn't gotten any better. I got the scan on a Tuesday, and the results were sent to Dr Chuang's office on Friday afternoon. I left a VM for the medical assistant Friday afternoon, and as her VM states, non-urgent messages will be called back within 24 hours. I understood it was the weekend, so I waited until Monday afternoon before calling back. Left a second VM. By closing hour, I left a third VM. Tuesday comes, no call all morning, so I leave a fourth VM Tuesday afternoon and called the front desk to try and get my results. She said she will let them know I'm calling. Finally, Wednesday AM she calls me, 3 business days later, which is a TON of time when awaiting results on a CT scan. She told me that she and Dr. Chuang have been out of the office, so she had another Dr review my results and there is some sinus inflammation. She said to follow up with Dr Chuang for medical options later. I asked which part - nose or throat - was the inflammation? Her response was "I don't know, that's why I said to follow up with Dr Chuang". Couldn't even tell me after all that time where the inflammation showed up on my scan. I told her to fax the information to my PCP who had already requested it the day before. Completely USELESS.
Note to Valley ENT: people waiting for results, regardless if it comes back serious or not, deserve a response within a business day of receiving them. It is absolutely unacceptable to make somebody wait as long as you made me wait, especially after calling multiple times requesting the information. I will NEVER be back to this office and will find a new ENT.
