I've used about 3 different meal delivery services over the past 2 year's. I wanted a bit of variety and Chowdy seemed to have the best price so I figured I would give it a try. First I will start off with the good:
Pro's:
- Seems to be the most affordable at $7/meal
- Online system is easy to use when making changes to your plan (but this will also be a con)
- You have the option of picking up your food from 3 different locations which saves you a $10 delivery fee if you live close by
- The portions are really good, I often split them into two small meals as I prefer to eat more frequently as opposed to big meals.
- Meals change each week so there's a variety
Con's:
- Online system takes a week to make changes. On a Friday I realized that I wouldn't be able to pickup my meals on the following Monday. I went online to setup delivery but it wouldn't take effect until the following Monday (10 days later)
- Customer Service is horrible. There's no phone number to call. I had an issue and I had to send 2 emails, a Facebook and Twitter message before they replied me. The issue was never resolved and I paid for 5 meals I never got.
I've learned that sometimes it's worth paying the extra to get better service and am in the process of finding another company to use. Which is too bad because I liked their portions and price.
