| - Just came back from an amazing dinner here. The food was amazing---guacamole, frijoles, the homemade chips and salsa, the fried filet of fish, the menudo. OMG. Why can I have a second stomach? The young lady who served us was super pleasant and super responsive to our requests.
Last night while I was reviewing the online Yelp menu so I could figure out what I wanted to eat tonight, I saw a number of negative reviews which I feel compelled to address.
I have been to Baja Joe's many, many times, at least 25 times that I can remember. I have always seen couples and sometimes complete families with lots of children. I am referring to the review that warns people about bringing their children to Baja Joe's. I will tell you that I have never seen a Baja Joe's staffer or manager or owner, being rude to anyone's child even though in my humble opinion something should have been said to some of them.
Parents allow their kids to do things in a restaurant that I know they would not allow their children to do in their own home. I have watched while kids scream their heads off and the parents ignore it. I have watched as kids throw their food on the floor and no parent or family member bothers to pick it up. I have watched while kids run through the aisles of the restaurant while waiters and waitresses are carrying heavy loads of food back and forth to the kitchen. I have watched while parents put their toddlers' bottoms on tables where people are expected to eat. A little gross would you not say? So this is in defense of Baja Joe's (in which I hold no financial interest, nor do I even know the owner) with regard to that review telling people not to bring their children here. They are more than tolerant of the ill-bred children whose parents ignore their abysmal behavior.
In NY, I go to an italian restaurant which has the following posted on each of its walls:
Children are welcome here. Parents are in charge of supervising their children. Please control your child's behavior and the noise level because the patrons who pay to eat here expect to enjoy their meal. If your child is crying, please step outside until your child is under control. Thank you.
The other review says that Baja Joe's only has bottled sauces and not fresh salsas. INCORRECT. Baja Joe's has fresh sauces and fresh chips every day and they are complementary. They are absolutely delicious and fresh. So the reviewer is INCORRECT.
I wanted to set the record straight, from my point of view of course, because I don't like UNFAIR or untruthful reviews.
