  • With the comments I read on the service, I elected to use this establishment to repair our video game. Unfortunately, my experience with this business is the opposite of what others claim. When I dropped off the unit, I was given a 5-7 day turn around time. On the fifth day I called to follow up on the status. I was informed it will be another day or two and I would be getting a phone call. This was fine with me as it was within the estimated time. The seventh day came, still no phone call. When I called I was told I will be receiving call by the end of the day. I did not get a call. It went into the weekend which was mother's day. I finally got a phone call on mother's day around their closing time. I finally had the opportunity to pick up the game on Monday. That's eleven days. Throughout that time span there was never a phone initiated from Vegas Game Repair to give me any kind of update or explain what was the delay. When I picked up the unit, I noticed the hinged door on the face was missing. I went back into inquire why? I was unable to get an explanation and was informed they will contact the technician. Someone finally got back to me to say "the door was being held together by glue and it broke off". I said to myself, that's odd? The face plate was never removed by anyone in our family. So I explained. I was then told the technician will call me. I got a call from the technician and his story differed that the whole face plate had glue all over that did not allow the power and reset button to operate. I explained to him again from day one the face plate was never removed. He offered to get me a new face plate which I was okay. After a couple days playing the same game, we noticed the disc tray was getting snagged on the face plate and not fully eject to access the disc. The disc tray required assistance to get it to completely eject. When I looked at the game closely disc tray did not line up with the eject button. The disc tray itself was not level which explains why it was not ejecting properly. I called Vegas Game Repair to have the game looked at again. I was told the disc tray just needed to be reseated. A date and time was set. When I dropped off the game I was told I would receive a phone call by 6pm. I did not get a phone call. I got a call as I was walking into the business at 6:34pm. This is when things turned very ugly. I was told the game ejects fine and the problem could not be replicated. Which was demonstrated to me. I'm sure after after many attempts to eject that the part of the face plate the disc tray was getting hung up on had worn away. Yet no attempt was made to re-seat the disc tray to align better with the eject button. At this point I was upset and negative comments started coming over from the other side of the wall. Things boiled over where one of the employees physically made threats by attempting to make a charge at me. He also made a racial remark as he went to the back. The issue was not resolved. Vegas Game Repair has not backed their 60 day warranty. When I get the game home, the disc tray did get hung up on several attempts. This post is to inform consumers and help make a decision to elect to use Vegas Game Repair or take your business some where else. My fight is just the beginning. I will be seeking to settle my issue on a higher level.
