  • Consistently fantastic - love it! Reasonable prices, a really fantastic ambiance, and overall great food makes Umami the restaurant I take family and friends to when they visit Pittsburgh. Definitely make a reservation - it can really fill up - or, go right when it opens. Making a reservation and going on a weekend night, with the neon lighting up the windows and a dj behind the bar, is an experience in itself. I've had better drinks at other nearby places, but the food is definitely worth a trip. Go during happy hour to try some of the drinks, and to get some great small plates.
