  • After seeing some of the shocking reviews I am compelled to provide a truthful review of 44 Monroe. Initially I moved to 44 Monroe in 2011 and was here for 2 years in an absolutely gorgeous apartment on the 27th floor. In 2013 I moved to another state for just under 2 years and during that 2 years I couldn't wait to move back to 44 Monroe. I moved back the first chance I had and I have no intention of EVER leaving unless I am forced to. I'm a single woman in my 50's and feel very safe and secure in this beautiful building. The staff are fantastic and make me feel like this is my home and not just a rented apartment. The only time I had any issue to report they were on top of it almost immediately. The building is well taken care of, clean, with contemporary decor. You will never find a bug, spider, etc. in the building. The walls are extremely soundproof and in my 3 years here I have never heard a sound through the walls from a neighbor. I would challenge anyone to find another building at this price point with soundproof walls. I don't use the amenities, however, when my adult children visit they do use them and there have been no complaints from them... They love it here and are happy that they don't have to worry about me being safe. As for some of the negative comments in other reviews about the residents I find the comments shocking and feel 100% that they are untrue or come from people who have an agenda to try and cause problems. 44 Monroe residents are friendly and professional. The residency is a very diverse population of all age groups and from many walks of life. I personally like that.
