  • TERRIBLE. SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DISHONEST. IGNORES VOICEMAILS. AMPM was sent by American Home Shield to fix a small leak from my shower head. The technician said it might be the shower head itself, or it could be the cartridge (faucet). He took the shower head off and said it was not the cause and put it back on. He said he would order me a new cartridge and schedule an appointment when it arrived. He was at my house no more than 5 minutes. He did NOT turn the shower back on to ensure it was working correctly. When I later turned the shower on, the water did not come out, it only trickled. I reached up to re-adjust the head since it was tilted up and the whole thing broke off from within the wall. Subsequently, the water (from the short time it was on) flooded into my garage, directly below the shower. I realize that accidents and mistakes happen. I called AMPM so they could come back out. I left messages. They never returned my call. I called another plumber as I needed the problem fixed immediately. The plumber had to cut into my wall to complete the repair and it was quite an out of pocket expense. I called AMPM many times to make them aware and also seek reimbursement and they never called back. They finally called when the original part was in and scheduled a time to come out. I told the technician about the problem that had happened on the phone. I waited during the scheduled time and the technician NEVER showed up. I didn't even get a call. AGAIN, I called and left messages. Someone from the office finally called. She told me the home warranty company told them not to come back to my property. I spoke at length with people from the home warranty company and they never told AMPM not to return. AMPM was dishonest and did not want to own up to their mistake. Home warranty suggested I take the company to court. I have called many times trying to give them the opportunity to correct the situation and they continue to ignore me. I have never had such a negative and stressful experience with a company. I can't believe with all of the bad reviews they are still in business. I will continue to seek reimbursement from the damage caused by their plumber - more for the way they mistreated me and handled the situation than for the actual money.
