Upon arrival on a beautiful Monday night at 9:30pm there was a line up outside the store halfway down the block. I was assured the line went fast and it did. Maybe 15 minutes from arriving to having the ice cream in my hands. Just before entering the store a nice man was giving out chocolate samples and thanking guests for being patient in line. Already this gesture to me deserves an extra star. The store is quite large selling homemade chocolate, fondue and candy.
ICE CREAM: everybody goes for the soft serve dipped in chocolate. There was a good variety of soft serve including the classic vanilla and chocolate. They also had maple, hazelnut and strawberry. The star of the show are the chocolate dips. I chose caramel fleur de sel. My friend choose spicy dark chocolate paired with vanilla Both were to die for. The ice cream gets dipped 2 or 3 times into the thick chocolate sauce all the way to the cone. After a minute it freezes and gets hard. I was surprised on how thick the layer of chocolate and caramel was when biting into it. Overall it was pure heaven. I'd wait an hour in line for this as there is nothing else like it. Hopefully they keep expanding and open some up in the 514 to alleviate the wait time in the 450. But in the meantime I'll relish in the fact that the south shore has something better than Montreal!
