| - I hate shopping for mattresses. It feels so awkward laying on mattresses in public with everyone watching. And you know you can't get a true feel of a mattress by laying on it for only five minutes.
Stopped in to look for a new mattress last week. Chris-the-manager (the only employee working when I stopped in) asked what I wanted and my price range and pointed me towards several mattresses, then let me go and try them. He did check in every once in a while to see if I had any questions, but was never once pushy or anything. Once I found the mattress I wanted, I paid and had delivery arranged in about 10 minutes. Mattress Firm and Chris couldn't have done a better job.
The delivery went just fine. I had a 12pm-3pm time window, and they came about 2. The two guys were very nice. Came in, set the new mattress up, took the old one out to the truck, sign here, and have a good afternoon. Done in about 15 minutes. My only wish for delivery is that Mattress Firm had a morning time slot for delivery, as that would work better for me (all they have are noon-3 and I think 7pm-10pm or something like that). But whatever, minor issue. And they did offer same day delivery when I bought the mattress.
Also, this is a clearance store. By looking at the website, you'd think it only has clearance items, but that's only one section of the store. It's more of a regular mattress store with an extra clearance area on the side. So if you're looking for a top-of-the-line new mattress like I was, don't skip this store.
