| - I agree with everyone else on here. The location is great, but the management isn't. I've been a resident here for years and last week my teacup chihuahua lunged at another dog. I apologized and grabbed my dog almost instantly, but instead of having the decency to talk to me, the other tenant lied and told management that my dog put her shiba inu in the hospital, which would be a funny joke, if I didn't receive a notice saying I would need to get rid of my dogs in five days or be evicted. When I told management that it simply wasn't true ( these 3.5 pound pups are yappy at times, but they couldn't break the skin of another dog even if they tried their hardest) they said she was under no obligation to show a vet bill, which is completely unfair. I have the option to either lose my dogs (I would never) or be booted from my home with only a 15 day notice over someone's lie. I would completely understand if I had a large dog that actually was a threat to other tenant's pets, but this is ridiculous. I'm disgusted with how this was managed.
Oh and normally I wouldn't mention the other problems I've had, but since I feel I've been treated quite unfairly, I think they're worth mentioning.
-my apartment seriously needs to be updated, yet the price goes up every year.
-when I first moved in the leasing agent told me it would be $650 for a month to month price, when it turned out to be $800.
-there's a big gap between the oven and the countertop, which has been sawed to fit the oven (doesn't look trashy at all)
-my carpet was in rough shape when I moved in. I've asked several times to have it replaced and even offered to pay the cost of replacing it, but no one ever returns my calls.
-the online rent pay is a real pain. You never know how much you owe until the day of.
-my utilities spiked around $60 in the winter last year when they should have been cheaper. Which makes me think I'm sharing the utility bill with someone else.
-The laundry system is a pain. You need to go to the office to put money on a card when you want to use it.
-for the past three months the water was shut off every Tuesday and Thursday, which is a real peach for someone like me that works from home.
-I've had other tenants tell me they were harassed by other tenants and management didn't do anything about it.
-last year, I caught a lady throwing rocks at my balcony. Not only could this have broken my balcony window, but with the size of my dogs, if t had hit them in the head it could have killed them. When I reported this incident to management and gave them the individual's room number, it apparently was no reason to evict her, but I guess owning two yappy, yet completely harmless dogs is.
