| - This is, no was, our grocery store. We live only a few blocks away, and have shopped here for almost 6 years. Now we need to find a new store. A few months ago, they started removing the regular checkouts, and replacing them with self-checkouts. They want you to do checkout yourself. Even the employees stand outside the remaining few regular checkouts, and try to steer you toward the self-checkouts. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I don't want to bag my own groceries. I want someone to do it for me. Sorry, just being honest. Maybe if I had 2 or 3 items I'd do it for convenience, but when I have a full cart of groceries, I want someone to do the scanning and bagging for me. I just want to pay and push my cart out. What happened to customer service? Maybe this is an experimental store, if so, I would encourage Fry's to consider it a bad idea. This is a deal breaker for us. My wife and I are already looking for a new grocery store. I sure hope this isn't the direction we're all headed in. Sorry, just my opinion.
