Went to Portofinos last Saturday night when I headed over with the Mrs. for a belated anniversary dinner. Unfortunately (and a pet peeve) the restaurant does not allow reservations or call ahead seating...aarrgghh!!! When we get there the first thing I noticed was the amount of people hanging outside waiting for a table. With very limited seating for waiting outside and no outside dining, there were too many people sitting on the ground or standing near the front door.
We go inside and get quoted 30 minutes for a table...a rough start to our visit but I'm patient. At 45 minutes in to the wait I start giving the hostess the "eye" so we get sat shortly after.
We sit down and get Marina as our waitress...she was great!!! We told her we had a movie to catch in a short period of time and she handled everything like a pro.
Food comes and IT WAS AWESOME. Brushetta for an app, salads for the two of us, Mrs had the Chicken Piccata and I had the Chicken Portofino. My meal was fantastic. I now love that Chicken Portofino.
I would absolutely recommend this Portofino's location for a really good bite to eat especially right before a movie. I wish they would open up the outdoor seating for dining so it would reduce the waiting time, or better yet...Take Reservations!!! Overall I give 4 stars though.
If you go, ask for Marina's section. I definitely recommend her. She had a great personality, very attentive and professional....and try the Chicken Portofino, you'll love it.
