| - Just back from the new Yeh's first day open in Toronto.
It's a type of yoghurt/sorbet place I'd seen before in the Bay Area - the machines and toppings are all self-serve, with the price being measured by weight. It's the first one I'd seen like it in Canada, though, and their peer in Alameda was my favourite of five fro-yo places on one street.
They have or will have a rotating selection of flavours - this time I tried the peanut butter and the chocolate together, with non-pareils, chips, chocolate-covered pretzels and sprinkles topping it. A decent portion, for $3 and a handful of change.
The chocolate was yummy and chocolate-y (I believe they use Ghirardelli chocolate sauces in some of their products), the peanut butter was peanut-y, not the overly sweet peanut butter most places have, but something that tasted of *real* peanut. They also do crepes and cookies made-to-order, you pick your fixings and they make it in front of you.
A great place to go for dessert, fun, the staff were all really pleasant and helpful, and I look forward to returning and trying the rest of their flavours!
