  • It's not often that I leave a scathing review; this dealership deserves it. After a month of working on a deal with AK, a salesman there, I went in to try to finance the car on my own. As a first-time car buyer they gave me a 9.9 APR approval. They showed me what my monthly payment would be and I clarified at least five times that it was for a 60 month term contract. "Yes, yes, 60 months, Naomi," I was reassured over and over (and over) again. I had them write the numbers down and he had me sign it. He said "once you sign this paper we have a deal -- that's what you're buying the car for". Elated, I signed and test-drove the Elantra again and came in to fill out the finishing paperwork. (FYI this car does not come with a spare tire -- "because these tires use nitrogen not oxygen". ) The salesman came back and told me he had made a mistake before and shown me the 66 month financing which had also had a lower APR. The actual payment would be much higher. I tried to argue that "a deal is a deal," but he wouldn't go down to the price that we shook on just fifteen minutes earlier. The "sales director" or something Sam overheard and would not honor the "deal" either. He ended up berating my father who came along for the fun, calling him an "incompetent," although ironically, he didn't pronounce the word correctly. The manager came out to tell me that he just couldn't make that deal and said that even if he did I wouldn't be happy at that point;. He also mentioned that this salesman had a history of making these types of "mistakes" which was very reassuring. I went to another dealership and got a 2.9 APR (even as a GASP dreaded first-time buyer). I dealt with honest people there and didn't have to go through a near-crying episode in front of a roomful of strangers. Do yourself a favor: AVOID this dealership. It's all bait n' switch and no business ethics as you can see from the previous reviews.
