The staff and services here are excellent. This is not a hospital as such as there are no inpatient services and no emergency department.
An urgent care centre (UCC) provides care for non emergency injuries and personal health issues. Sprains, cuts, rashes, broken fingers etc for example, as well as blocked catheters, urinary retention and post surgical complications if needed.
Emergency care is provided at another site, as is inpatient care.
This site provides investigative and pre operative work up, as well as rehabilitation on an outpatient basis.
An army of knowledgeable volunteers and clerical staff ensure you are seen in good time. The UCC practices triage, so less urgent cases may wait a long time for treatment. These cases could probably get seen at a walk in clinic or at their own doctors.
Properly utilized this can be a one stop shop. Before I retired as an RN I referred patients here appropriately and they received good care.
My wife had her follow up care here after her knee replacement, and I have cardiac investigations done here.
The one down side? The cost of parking, although options are available to reduce the cost for frequent attenders.
