  • Without a doubt the most amazing experience you can ever achieve in Las Vegas. I had stumbled across the Skylofts website when I was checking room rates at the MGM Grand, and decided to look into it. Booked a one-bedroom loft through American Express for this past Monday, and was quoted a rate of $470 (roughly 10% less than the price on the website). Within a day, the pre-arrival coordinator had contacted me and introduced me to the property, as well as ask if there were any arrangements that needed to be made. I gave her my flight details, and my trip was set. A driver was waiting for me at McCarran Airport with a sign in my name, and he escorted me directly to his Maybach waiting outside. The drive to the hotel was so luxurious, and having never been inside a $500,000 car before, I was having fun checking out all the buttons and features. We arrived the MGM Grand's valet area, where a concierge was waiting for me, and walked me through the VIP area directly to the elevators. She took me to the top floor of the property, introducing me to various employees along the way, and brought me to my loft, where my butler was waiting outside. Once we entered, my jaw hit the ground. I had been upgraded to a 2-bedroom loft, and after doing the quick check-in procedure, my butler gave me a tour. He showed me how to work the various remotes that automate the room, the mind blowing coffee/espresso maker, and the amazing steam shower. I was informed that I could give my concierge a call and a bath would be ready for me upon my arrival back to the suite. Or I could call and have the "Dream Butler" bring up a selection of pillows to find ones that would be the ideal fit for my sleep. I spent my time enjoying the in-room pool table, free movies, and free wireless internet. I ordered room service for lunch, and the food arrived promptly. A different butler entered and set the table for me, at which point another waiter brought in my food, and came back about 30 minutes later to see if I needed anything cleared. Upon returning to the room, I saw that a lovely dessert had been left for me, and fresh fruit had been left on the table (quite delicious, too). Booking through American Express gave me a free continental breakfast the next morning (it was quite delicious, as well), and a $100 spa credit, which I used for a facial. I went to go ask the concierge (there are at least 2 concierges on duty, on the floor, at all times) where the spa was, and she insisted on walking me down to the spa herself, as well as checking me in. The Skylofts are not only an amazing stay for the beautiful room (I counted 7 plasma televisions in my 2-bedroom suite, and another 2 televisions embedded in the bathroom mirrors), but the service one receives makes it worth every penny. Each and every request was handled quickly and appropriately, and while I opted to dine in the hotel and called it an early night, I have no doubt that the concierge could have gotten me a dinner reservation anywhere, or show tickets or club access had I decided to go that route. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice break from the typical Vegas scene. While I'm sure these suites can get pricey on peak travel days, they really are worth every penny, and if you can find a bargain, I highly recommend it. Everyone at the Skylofts was so kind and helpful, though not in a pretentious way. Employees were genuinely interested in communicating, and I had some fun joking around with my butler and ended up knowing some friends in common with the waiter who brought me my breakfast. Without a doubt, the Skylofts, for both the amenities and service, is the best experience to be had in Vegas.
