I never thought about going inside the Fort Pitt Museum until I was at Point State Park for July 4 and needed to kill some time before other events. Admission for adults was $6. I walked around the two-floor, 12,000-square-foot museum on my own without a tour guide. My favorite parts of the museum were oil paintings hanging on the walls and the life-sized replicas of soldier barracks and Indian cabins. I recommend this museum for learning about Pittsburgh's place in the French and Indian War and the American Revolution.
