  • Definitely one of the cooler joints in Lakewood, made even cooler by the fact that it seems totally unassuming & divey. It looks like a standard Irish pub of sorts - across from a Family Dollar, no less - but it's actually a chill cider & gin bar with extensive lists of both kinds of drinks, plus a full bar & a few beers on tap. They sell only a couple food items (including Scotch eggs!) to snack on, so you may want to eat someplace else, but Griffin is absolutely worth your time & money for a bottle of cider or one of their incredible gin drinks. I'm personally a fan of the Oh, Beehave! which includes honey syrup & a whipped egg white. Can't beat decadence in a totally laid-back atmosphere.
