| - I came here with a groupon. I was surprised to find out that on my first very long appointment, there was actually going to be no treatment/chiropractic adjustment. I bought the groupon and booked the appointment because I had a pressing issue, a rib out of place, causing a lot of pain. I would have just gone to another previous chiropractor to get immediate relief had I known this. The deal was for an exam and 3 treatments. So I had to book another appointment about a whole week later to actually get treated. I believe the exam was thorough and the results were explained well. However, I was then barraged with this LONG lecture about what chiropractic care is, and why you need it, and why you need to so often and why regular medicine is no good, and was given this elaborate schedule and payment plan for one year. Without even ever having one treatment to see if I like it there. Very presumptuous and that turned me off right away. It seemed they were more concerned with gaining regular business then dealing with my present issues.
I have now had my three treatments and they were so-so. I specifically asked for my neck NOT to be adjusted, and on my second appointment, CRACK! My neck was adjusted. Not pleased. I also watched the few appointments before me (it's all open concept) and it seemed that, although a very personal exam was done, everyone was getting the same treatment. Same routine, same adjustments. It felt as if the therapist was just going through the motions. My treatments lasted about 5 minutes, maybe 10 max. Very few comments, feedback, 'how does that feel now', how is your problem coming along, etc... Nothing! Just press press press, crack crack crack. See ya later.
Oh yeah, and there are signs everywhere telling you "LIKE" them on facebook. I don't respond well to being told to like something. If I actually like it, then maybe I will "LIKE" it.
I would rather pay more at my other chiropractor who takes time every visit to talk about all issues, does some ART work, doesn't rush me, doesn't force to to sign up for a year of sessions!!
It's too bad because this was a good location at Bayview Village with ample parking. The receptionists were nice, if that is any redemption. I doubt I will return.
