| - I was in the market for a high end task chair for my home office. But I wasn't in the market for dropping a grand for an authentic Herman Miller chair. I needed a used chair to bring quality into my price range. A bit of idle googling and I find Arizona Office Liquidators in Phoenix. I've got to make the drive up from Tucson, but it's worth it for what I'm saving. So I find the chair of my dreams and take it home.
Only problem is that the first chair isn't quite up to par. No fault of theirs, they tried to talk me out of that specific chair, but that pellicle weave had me transfixed and my chair at home was killing my backside. Long story short, I should have listened to Lorraine when she said that particular chair was no good. Arms wobbling, nothing tightens, and the gas Canister is flat.
I call back and let them know the problem. They set me up with their Chair specialist, Jeano Birdoes. The Birdman says he'll keep an eye out for a Mirra 2 in good condition, and puts it aside for me. It's the holiday season, and I don't have a truck, but as promised, my new chair sits for over a month tagged with my name waiting for me to pick it up. I trade the first chair in straight across for the new one. He even offered to fix the first one for free -- but I told him I prefer the Mirra II to the Aeron.
A lot of places would have charged me more for a used Herman Miller. A lot of places would have told me that I waited too long to make a return. A lot of office furniture places wouldn't have held stock aside for some random guy out of Tucson buying ONE CHAIR (these places are used to outfitting offices). Arizona Office Liquidators & Designs treats the little guy like the big guy.
So if you're in the market for a used chair, desk, cubicle or monitor stand, give these guys a gander. I believe you'll you'll find the trip to be worth your time.
