If you have any clues about mechanics they are doing a great job to rip you off, on the top of it you will be so happy they fixed your car no matter how much you paid.
I had a engine noise on my 2013 S5 and I gave them the car for a diagnostic that I paid $150.
The first quote was an outrageous $9800 for the repair. I looked at it very closely and realized they did not put the right parts as they decide to change the all distribution chain on both V6 banks. a TSB exist and it only require to change a $100 chain tensioner on each side. At that point the service representative confessed he did not know to much about mechanics and he will look into it with his tech guy. How can you deal with customers when you do not know about car?
They just know how to answer as sales person, not as a technician.
Anyway I got a second quote and it was only $5000 which is extremely costly but require a lot of work and I'm ok withy that.
How a quote can be so wrong, this is over me and Audi Sahara is not the only one doing that, this is a known practice in the industry. The horrible part is if the car was under warranty Audi will cover it because they recognize a bad design in the chain tensioner.
