| - It had been many months since eating at Twisted Italian. The last time there we were quite pleased with the food. The bread and dipping oil were wonderful. In the past we had ordered the pizza which if memory serves had crust made with the same dough. It was more of a flat bread style but very good. Today being Sunday, we were intending to go to Lakeside as usual for lunch but with football on, it was very crowded. We decided to go back to Twisted Italian but what a difference a few months makes. It was as usual quite warm in there even with the front door open. We waited a few moments to be seated but the waitress seemed very nice. She took our ice tea orders and returned to take our lunch order. We ordered pizza, my husband the pepperoni and I the Margareta. We were never offered or served the bread and dipping oil as everyone else there had on their tables, but with having the pizzas, that was OK. The pizzas were a good size, a large personal size pizza, but that is where the good part ends. Both were bland, greasy, nearly cold and very doughy. We asked for red pepper flakes to shake on them, but even the nearly empty shaker of flakes couldn't help. We were both quite hungry but couldn't stomach more than one slice each. She did ask if there was something else we would like but it was so hot in there and we just wanted to leave. She did comp one of the pizzas which was nice, but we will never go there again. Back to Olive Garden for us for Italian.
