  • Well, the Fertitas did it again! They have taken this steak house down the "let's get cheap and screw the patron" road once again.... just like they screwed-up the Fiesta steak house... which they eventually closed, and just about every other restaurant they take control of. Gone are the days at Austin's where you were served a fancy bread selection as an appetizer and you walked away impressed by the over-all experience . Let me say this..... THE CHEFS KNOW HOW TO COOK but they can't take a crap piece of meat and make it tender. And that's what happened the other night when I ordered the prime rib. God, I was so pissed-off when this crap piece of meat with NO FAT came out .... I know steak and this wasn't even a Choice cut. I sent it back after 2 bites... then I asked if the Ferrtitas owned Austin's........ yup, sure enough they did and their "Screw the customer, we gotta make the most profit" was very self-evident. The manager offered a different steak so I had the Filet-Mignon...... perfectly cooked. Like I said.. the cooks there did a very nice job but every time we go there, Austins has gotten cheaper and cheaper!!!!! What's next?... no water! or I bet the next time they serve margarine with their bread!!!! That's the Fertita way..... go into a restaurant and jew everything down, and these are the people that own Station Casinos where Austin's is. I bet they own the Garduno's inside the Fiesta as well.....it has gone to poop! Garduno's used to be awesome! The buffet at Texas station used to be very good but now in the last 6 months has declined quite a bit............ Hey Stations....... keep your coupons for discounts on meals. When you respect your customers once again, call me.
