| - 7/1/11 was the first time I ever rented a car in Vegas, this time at the Venetian which is where we stayed.
Each time i book my Avis rentals, it's aways online. The nice part is Avis doesn't make me place a credit card to hold the car.
I had booked a midsized car for $ 49, plus was entitled to a free upgrade upon arrival, The midsized car would be about a Ford Fusion type. Upon arriving at 11am to pick up the car, we were pleasantly surprised to be given a "Chev Corvette" as the upgrade.
Once you sign the docs , you're given instructions how to pickup the car, inside the hotel. It's a slight pain, since you have to go through a set of doors, walk a bit outside, go up elevators to where the car is waiting for you.
Note: Always inspect the car from end to end & top to bottom, otherwise you WILL get charged by the rental agency for any minor damage they find upon its return.
My inspecton found minor scratches & chips on top, front & back, which was all noted on a damage form.
*The main reason I gave this rating a 4 star is due to the nice upgrade!
