When you think oh Hudson, Ohio you think "a quaint little slice of Americana, where the people are friendly and the food is made with just a little more care."
Kepner's Tavern in Hudson is none of that. Immediately upon entering this hole in the wall bar my instincts shouted "GET OUT!" But I we were already seen by the "hostess" and I guess my wife and I didn't want to hurt their feelings. Big mistake.
The staff was as unfriendly as could be. Basic questions about the menu couldn't be answered. I ordered the Buckeye Burger which is a burger with cheese, bacon, onion rings and barbecue sauce. I asked if it also came with lettuce and tomato and the waitress immediately left to go ask. What she would have known, if she bothered to ask me, was that I didn't want it on there, so all she really had to do was put on the ticket, "No Lettuce or Tomato"
Bottom line: The place is dingy and musty. The service is slow and awkward and the food was bad. The burger was over cooked as was the bacon. There was one onion ring on my burger and there was so little BBQ sauce, my mouth about dried up like a dew drop in the Mohave.
Oh yeah.. Even the Pepsi was terrible. I had to take three sips before I could tell if the pop was bad or if they brought me the wrong pop altogether. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this place like the plague.
