Small-ish venue where I was attending an engagement party.
Food was good and even had options to let guests take the food home.
The staff is mostly Asian so didn't have a prayer communication with them in English. We were in the middle of strange warmth after a few cold days in Toronto so it got pretty warm inside the seating area.
I asked the guy who looked like he was in charge if he could help me and he rudely replied "I'm busy. U can see I'm busy. Ask someone else" .... Umm who exactly? What a jerk! So I proceeded to ask the waiter and he said sure he could turn up the air as it was warm. I assumed he understood what I said because he didn't speak English yet nodded and acknowledged my request. Silly me! Should have known better as He had turned up the heat and now all the guests are absolutely baking. Another friend spoke to the same waiter about getting some cool air into the dining area and he said "yes it take time for air to cool" but we all felt the blazing heat from over our head and just tolerated it.
Another 1.5 hr goes by and the room did not cool down. Oh well, time leave anyways. Would NEVER host any important event here myself! Would reluctantly return for the food if I ever got invited to an event. Oh wait never mind I remember they didn't keep an eye on the drinks and each big table got only one jug of Coke which would run out in no time ... Didn't see any water in sight and had to keep asking for more drinks. I think it's decided, I'd never come back here but the fried fish to go was yummy!
