| - This hotel was definitely not the worst I have stayed in, but there were a few issues. First I want to say that my family travels somewhat frequently and is a part of the Marriott rewards/points program, so we have stayed in a fair share of Marriott hotels before, including other Residence Inns. We had two main problems at this hotel:
1) On first impression, our room seemed pretty clean with no major issues, but then we found a nasty reddish brown stain on one of the sheets, which was pretty unsettling to say the least.
2) When booking this hotel, we were aware that it was open to pets. With this in mind, we called the hotel and asked if there were any rooms reserved for people without pets, because we have some allergies in our family and also wanted to avoid the smell! We were told that the pet rooms were only on the first couple of floors so we would be put on the top floor, and that we would even be put in one of the buildings that was not usually used for people with pets. We were a little surprised when we saw people exiting our building with dogs, and we started becoming suspicious when we heard dogs barking near us very early in the morning. We were shocked when we actually saw people with their dogs walking into rooms near us, after we had been told there should be no dogs in our building, and especially not on our floor. When we checked out we mentioned the dog issue, and apparently the person we originally talked to on the phone was mistaken. We were given some points back for the inconvenience.
Overall, there were many good points to this residence inn as well. The breakfast was pretty good, the pool was nice (though on the colder side), and the shuttle service was very convenient.
